Description
Back to the Rock II is an album by the American rock combo CPR Band, self-released by the band in late December 2017. The album was produced by John Lawry and the band. The album is considered a continuation of Classic Petra’s 2010 album Back to the Rock, featuring 9 re-recorded Petra songs as well as a cover of the Aerosmith classic “Dream On” (a song lead vocalist Greg X. Volz also covered on his 1988 solo album, Come Out Fighting).
CPR Band features four former members of Petra (Greg X. Volz on lead vocals, John Lawry on keyboards, Ronny Cates on bass, and Louie Weaver on drums), as well as long time associate, guitarist Kirk Henderson (of Pieces of Eight), who also played guitar on Greg X. Volz first couple of solo albums.
