Mainstreet

Description

Mainstreet is the sophomore album by the Canadian singer and songwriter Carson Cole (credited Carson Cole and RU4), released on Frontline Records in October 1986. The album was recorded and mixed by Doug Doyle at 3-D Studios in Costa Mesa, California; with Doyle, Carson Cole, and Terry Taylor of Daniel Amos fame producing. All songs written or co-written by Carson Cole except “Kingdom Come” written by producer Terry Taylor and “Serenity” co-written for this project by Taylor and Chris Brigandi of The Lifters fame. Featuring guest musicians such as Tim Chandler and Greg Flesch of Daniel Amos fame as well as Mike Stand of the Altar Boys.

Carson Cole was born and raised in rural Alberta, Canada. At age 15 he released his debut album,Cure for the World, through the Canadian Gospel label New Born Records. At age 21 he released his second album, Mainstreet, via Frontline Records.
