Lay It Down is the sophomore major label album by the American singer and songwriter Jennifer Knapp, released on Gotee Records in February 2000, distributed by Chordant Distribution. The album was recorded over a period of roughly two months at The Castle Recording Studios in Franklin, Tennessee; and at Dark Horse Studios in Newcastle, Australia; with by Mark Stuart of Audio Adrenaline fame and Jennifer Knapp producing. “When Nothing Satisfies” features backing vocals by Margaret Becker.
