Description
GodOfAllOfUs is album by the American pop/R&B combo New Hope, released on Light Records in 1972. The album was engineered by Howard Steele with Bill Cole producing. Featuring “Jesus Made Me Higher”, a song written by Michael Omartian.
Not a bad early brass-rock attempt from eleven-member outfit, comparable to early Myrrh bands like Crimson Bridge and First Gear. Mostly no-strings light rock in a «One Tin Soldier» vein. Spicier organ-churning numbers like the six-minute fuzz-funky title cut and «The Great Financial Revival» have enough sock-it-to-ya punch to leave impressions of Chicago and Blood Sweat & Tears. Member George Gagliardi contributes a noteworthy solo blues track called «The Eastside Morning Glory Sunday Sorority». Eight original songs, plus «Jesus Made Me Higher» and an el smooth-o version of «Quiet Place». [Ken Scott, The Archivist, 4th edition]
