Description
Precious Lord is an album by the American soul singer and songwriter Al Green, released on Hi Records in 1982, manufactured and distributed by Myrrh Records, a division of Word. The album was recorded and mixed by Billy Sherrill at the Sound Emporium in Nashville, Tennessee; with Al Green producing for Hi Records. Featuring Tony Brown and David Briggs on keyboards, Moses Dillard and Kenny Bell on guitars, Bob Wray on bass, and Larrie Londin on drums.

For lexicographers, the meaning of the word “inspirational” lies within the subleties of Al Green’s entrancing vocal abilities. On “Precious Lord,” Green brings an emotional depth to such classic hymns as «How Great Thou Art» and «What A Friend We Have In Jesus» that most people have never discovered.
