Description
Trick of the Light is the ninth studio album by the American americana/pop combo Lost Dogs, Kickstarter-funded and officially released on Galaxy21 Music in February 2026. The album was recorded by Zach Bloomstein at Jackpot! Recording Studio in Portland, Oregon; with the band producing. (Additional engineering by various engineers at various studios.) Mixed by Ralph Stover at Seahorse Studio in Half Moon Bay, California, except track 11 mixed by Derri Daugherty at Spooky’s Lair in Brentwood, Tennessee.
The Lost Dogs are Terry Scott Taylor of Daniel Amos fame on acoustic guitars and vocals; Derri Daugherty of The Choir on electric guitars, keyboards, and vocals; Michael Roe of The 77s on acoustic and electric guitars, bass, and vocals; and Steve Hindalong of The Choir on drums, percussion, and vocals. Additional musicians featured on the album are Rob Watson (keyboards on tracks 1, 6, 8, and 9); Dan Michaels on lyricon and Chris Donohue on bass (track 3); as well as Greg Kellogg on pedal steel and Tim Chandler on bass (track 7).
