Eli – Now the News

Description

Now the News is the fourth album by the American singer and songwriter Eli (a.k.a. Paul Falzone), released on ForeFront Records in 2001, distributed in the US by Chordant Distribution Group. The album was recorded at SCL Studios with Mark H. Chesshir and Eli producing. Mixed by Tom “Murph” Wanca at Murphs Studio in Nashville, Tennessee.

Witty, broken, spiritual, touching, inventive, original, creative and real. These are the most apt terms I can use to describe this CD from this gifted musician and songwriter. All the songs included in this recording are equally impressive both in their content and production. The result is a recording that manages to be totally real, totally Christian and totally professional. Included in the recording are various different “interludes” which are worth listening to in their own right (as they are in turn both amusing and challenging.) I can recommend «Cellphone Goodbye» as a prime example). Overall, the message is that to be a Christian is to be real, to be a Christian is to have a heart for the broken and needy and the place for us all is at the Masters’ feet.
