Description
Alpha-Omega is an instrumental album by the UK born, South African based jazz/fusion artist Keith Hutchinson of Johnny Clegg & Savuka fame, released on Refuge Records in 1984. The album was recorded 1983 by Jan Smit at Universal Studios in Johannesburg, South Africa; with Keith Hutchinson producing. Composed, orchestrated, and conducted by Hutchinson.
Featuring Keith Vernon-Hutchinson on acoustic piano, Fender Rhodes electric piano, Oberheim OB-Xa synthesizer, and flute, backed by a session band consisting of Chris Vernon on soprano saxophone, Joe Willis on guitar, Denny Lalouette on bass, Kendall Kay on drums, and Romeo Avelino on percussion. Brass provided by Hansel Von Bruggen, Robin Finlay, and Billy Kerker on trumpet and John Davis, Mark Seldon, Rene Laanen, Steve Hurlin, and Pat Bertram on trombone. As well featuring a string section lead by Jurgen Schwietering.
