Fine example of contemporary gospel, with traditionally oriented lyrics and excellent, contemporary arrangements. Mildred Clark, Saundra Clark, Maryetta Scott and Barbara White all take turns on lead vocals, each offering a powerfully distinctive style. Lead and backing vocals provide intricate, skilled harmonies. Soul, pop and even a disco feel to the instrumentation. Fine production from Eddie Robinson. Best cuts: «Lord, I’ve Really Been Trying», «He Loves You», «Working For Jesus». [Top Album Picks / Soul (Billboard Magazine, April 10, 1976)]
