Heaven Ain’t All There Is

Description

Heaven Ain’t All There Is is the fourth studio album by the American soft-rock band The Pat Terry Group, released on Chrism in 1979, a division of Tempo Records. Re-issued by NewPax Records the following year, distributed by The Benson Company. The album was recorded at Twelve Oaks Studios in Marietta, Georgia; with the group producing and arranging. Mixed by band member Sonny Lallerstedt and Bill Vermillion at Bee Jay Studios in Orlando, Florida. All songs written by Pat Terry.

When we sat down to discuss the making of this album, we decided we wanted to make a record that was produced for the same reasons we do concerts. And, we wanted to see the same response. We wanted to visualize those who would be hearing our record and their individual needs. We wanted to challenge and exhort, comfort and rebuke. Most of all, we wanted to sink a little of our own lifestyle into the grooves.

So, we built a studio. Two years worth of thoughts and ideas were expressed in musical statements and we asked God to transform the entire thing into His intended goal.

Perhaps not everyone should make albums the way we made this one. But, for us, this is an honest way to marry music and ministry and present it to those people who have so faithfully listened to our music in the past.

If it is possible to take the concepts of hour music, place them on a record and put it in some someone’s home, then we are pleased to present this offering for that purpose.
