Description
Ride the Earth is an album by the American singer and songwriter Phill McHugh, released on Canis Major in 1998 (manufactured under license). The album was recorded by Phil Keaggy at Kegworth Studio in Nashville and by Chuck Pfaff and Randy Gardner at New River Studio in Hermitage, Tennessee; with Keaggy producing. All songs written by Phill McHugh except track 4 co-written by McHugh and Keaggy.
Featuring Phill McHugh on lead vocals, acoustic guitar, and keyboards backed by a session band consisting of producer Phil Keaggy on acoustic, electric, and classical guitars, mandolin, bass, keyboards, as well as backing vocals (with Ashley Cleveland providing backing vocals on track 2); Phil Madeira on Hammond B3 organ, and Steve Brewster on drums and percussion (with John Schroeter sitting in on drums on track 9). As well featuring Sam Levine on recorder, penny whistle, and clarinet, Wanda Vick-Burchfield on violin, and John Catchings on cello. French spoken word by Colette Odine.
