Description
Roadway to the Son is the sole album by the American folk/country-rock band Heirship, released on Rainbow Records in 1978. The album was recorded by Tom Conrad at Featherstone Recording Studios in Sacramento, California.
Fine album from West Coast folk-rocking guys with strong rural and progressive country angle, other times kind of breezy and upbeat, soft relaxed harmonies fronting an easygoing melodic America/The Way sound, not to mention a few Deadhead touches (especially «Walk Like Jesus»). Basic line-up plus flute, occasional piano or lone synth line. Good electric guitar leads from member Dave Boyd. All ten songs were written by the band, including «Children Of The Harvest», «My Man From Galilee», «Ecclesiastes II», «Filled With The Holy Ghost» and «Victorious In His Love».
