Lend Me a Sunrise

Description

Lend Me a Sunrise is the fourth album by the American folk trio Dust & Ashes, independently released on The Upper Room in 1983. The album was recorded by Rich Schirmer assisted by Craig Currier at Quadrafonic Studios in Nashville, Tennessee; with Gene Cotton producing. All songs written by founding member Tom Page except track A4, a song written by Ken Medema and originally recorded on his 1973-album SonShiny Day, track B2 written by Karla Bonoff, as well as track B3 featuring lyrics by Harmon Wray and John Charping.

This version of D&A has only Tom Page from the original group who provides most of the songs for this album. The most notable change besides stylistic is the addition of a female voice (Cece DuBois) in the trio with John Charping. The album also features David Innis on piano, John Clausi on guitar, producer Gene Cotton on 12-string and high-thirds guitar, and Mike Joyce on bass.

A final Dust & Ashes album, entitled Follow Me, was self-released in 1999 featuring Tom Page and Mary Lou Troutman.
