The Sound is Now

Description

The Sound is Now is an album by the American singer Pam Childress, released on Heart Warming/Impact in 1970, a division of The Benson Company. The album was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee; with Bob MacKenzie producing.

Being young is hearing things others do not hear
it is dreaming dreams, seeing things
it is wondering what’s beyond the horizon
it is believing you can get there when others didn’t
it is finding music, truth, and beauty everywhere
and it is excitement, enthusiasm, joyful living.
Pam has sung with her folks ever since she can remember
but this is her album, it reflects what she hears
it is a collection of songs that say things to her
and in turn they speak loudly to her generation.
These marks of a young heart – optimism, faith, joy –
are vividly present in this new album.
But youth is not only measured in terms of years alone
it is also bounded by attitudes, by outlook, by faith.
This album – young sound, young arrangements, young songs,
done so well by a bright young singer
is an invitation to the excitement of right now
For the young in heart – of every age.
