You Can’t Stand Up Alone is an album by the American rock band Daybreak, released on Holy Kiss Records in 1978. (Re-issued by Rivendell Records the following year, manufactured and distributed by Praise Records.) The album was recorded by Travis Turk and Mike Poston at Ironside Recording Studio in Nashville, Tennessee; with Randy Matthews producing. Mixed by Turk and Matthews at Ironside.

Songs written by band members Jim Nafziger (tracks: A5, B3) and Steve Walker (tracks: A4, B2, B4), with track A3 co-written by both. Also featuring various covers: an a cappella version of “I Can’t Stand Up Alone”, a song written by country-gospel legend Martha Carson in the Fifties (featured on her album Rock-A My Sou released on RCA Victor in 1958); “Humpty Dumpty”, a song written by Mike Deasy and featured on his album Wings of an Eagle; “All That I Can Do”, a song written by Ted Sandquist and featured on the multi-artist project The Courts of the King; as well as the Stealers Wheel song «You Something Better (Inside Of Me)» (written by Egan/Rafferty).

Daybreak features Don Kulp on lead vocals and keyboards; Steve Walker on lead vocals, guitar and steel guitar; James Nafziger on guitar and vocals; Alan Styer on bass and vocals; and Fred Miller on drums, percussion, and vocals. Also featuring guest musicians Ron Oates on keyboards, Donnie Sanders on saxophone, Pete Bordonali on guitar, Mel Ownes on percussion. Background vocals provided by Randy and Monty Matthews.

You Can’t Stand Up Alone mellows to the point of easy listening a few times, though mostly it continues in a Maranatha kind of country rock direction with steel guitar and lots of piano. Some of the songs feature bigger, bolder, smoother harmonies, especially the opening handclapped a cappella title track. Includes covers of Mike Deasy’s «Humpty Dumpty», Ted Sandquist’s «All That I Can Do», and the Stealers Wheel song «You Something Better (Inside Of Me)». Saxophone on a few songs.
