Try [Digital single]

Description

Try is a digital-only single by the American pop/rock band Smalltown Poets, independently released on Friendly City Records in September 2019.

This is a very cheerful single about trying new things from the Georgia-based CCM hitmakers. With short guitar solos adding to the interest of the single, the strong rhythm carries the song while the vocals are the perfect fit. I really enjoyed the accompanying vocal embellishments in the chorus because they felt so joyful and happy. The short synthesiser sections compliment the arrangement and pick up nicely on the major chord sequence. All in all this is a very catchy release. [Erin Brown, Cross Rhythms, February 2020]
