Description

“Beat the System” – b/w “Hollow Eyes” – is a two-sided 7-inch vinyl single by the American rock band Petra, released on A&M Records in 1985, manufactured and distributed by A&M Records (catalogue number AM-2714). Both tracks taken from the band’s full-length album Beat the System released on StarSong Records the same year, produced, recorded and mixed by Jonathan David Brown at Mama Jo’s Recording Studio in North Hollywood, California, assisted by audio engineer Todd Van Etten. Both tracks written by Petra guitarist Bob Hartman.

This was the first retail single issued from Beat the System to the mainstream market.
