“Lamu” – b/w “Tearin’ Down the Walls” – is a two-sided 7-inch vinyl single by the American singer, songwriter, and keyboardist Michael W. Smith, released in Australia on Horizon/A&M Records (catalogue number K-285). Both tracks were taken from his full-length album The Big Picture released in the US on Reunion Records the same year, distributed by both Word Records and A&M Records, produced by John Potoker and Michael W. Smith. “Lamu” was co-written by Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant, and Wayne Kirkpatrick while “Tearin’ Down the Walls” was co-written by Smith and Kirkpatrick.
