By My Spirit is a 7-inch vinyl single by the American singer and songwriter Leslie Phillips, released on Myrrh Records, a division of Word Records, Summer of 1984 (catalogue number 9016141154-DJ). The track was taken from the multi-artist compilation By My Spirit: A Musical Gathering of Praise released on Myrrh the same year. This version of Leslie Phillips’ self-written “By My Spirit” was produced by Gary Whitlock. The song was later re-recorded as a power ballad duet with Matthew Ward of 2nd Chapter of Acts and included on Phillips’ solo album Dancing With Danger released on Myrrh Records in the Autumn of 1984.
