Perfect World – b/w “You Will Go Free” – is a two-sided 7-inch vinyl single by the American singer and songwriter Tonio K., released on the Word imprint What? Records in 1986, manufactured and distributed by A&M Records (catalogue number HZ-2881). Both tracks were lifted from Tonio K.’s full-length album Romeo Unchained released on What? Records the same year. The titled track was written by Tonio K. and Glen Burtnick (who also recorded the song himself and released it as a single the same year) and was produced and arranged by Rick Neigher for Vogue Productions. The B-side was written by Tonio K. and was produced and mixed by T-Bone Burnett.
“Perfect World” was later covered by What If on their sole album released in 1987, and that track was as well featured on the 1987 Russkies motion picture soundtrack.

Note: “Perfect World” was also released as both a 7-inch and a 12-inch single with the same track on both sides. A shorter edit of “You Will Go Free” of length 5:20 was as well released as a A-side single.
