Fingerprints in Dust: A Sampler is a cassette-only compilation by the American singer, songwriter, and producer Mark Heard, independently released on his own label Fingerprint Records in 1991. The album was produced by Mark Heard.

It’s (sort of) a demo cassette compiled for the purpose of shopping Mark’s music to major labels. Not released commercially, though sold through (a least) True Tunes. Featuring selected tracks from his three albums released on Fingerprint during 1990-92. (The three tracks lifted from his upcoming album, Satellite Sky, feature a “rough mix” since that album didn’t get its final mixed until the following year.)
