Greatest Bits: B-Sides and Demos 1988-1993 is a compilation album by the British alternative pop band Lies Damned Lies, independently released on Sticky Music in 1995. All songs written by Lies Damned Lies (Dot Reid, Charlie Irvine and Steve Butler).
So this tape really is what it says – the cover tells where each of these songs comes from. But I don’t see too many from 1993 to be honest. These were all left off albums for various reasons, but listening to them in this collection, it seems that was mostly because of style or fit. These are certainly not bad songs. They do feel a bit disjointed thrown together here, but are ordered in a way that makes for a good collection. The sound of all of the songs still falls into the late 80s alternative rock sound they are known for. This tape came out in between 1994’s Release the Peace and 1996’s Lamentations.
