Always Play Covers: A Starflyer 59 Tribute is a multi-artist tribute compilation featuring covers of songs written by the American singer/songwriter/guitarist Jason Martin of Starflyer 59 fame, independently released as download only in May 2016. Always Play Covers is an epic double-album created by fans as a tribute to one of the greatest bands of our generation, Starflyer 59. Originating in a Facebook fan group as the simple idea of a tribute album, we quickly received a wealth of submissions – so many, in fact, that we made the decision to split the album in two, thus creating a listening experience at once more manageable and decidedly unique. Thematically divided in half, each side of the album presents the listener with a different take on Starflyer 59: one a little more upbeat and sunny, one a little moodier, more introspective.

Crafted with care by fans of all ages, Always Play Covers is our attempt to pay tribute to a band that holds a very dear and special place in our hearts, and to the mastermind behind it all: Jason Martin.
