Near to the Heart of God – an installment of the RE:fresh series – is an instrumental solo album by the American singer, songwriter, keyboardist, arranger, and orchestral conductor Tom Howard, released on Shelter Cove Music in 2008. The album was recorded and mixed by Jonathon A. Willis for Riverwind Productions with additional recording by Toby Willis and Tom Howard. Produced and arranged by Tom Howard for Tom Howard Music / Worship Space Music. CD marked Quiet Music for Quiet Times.
Featuring Tom Howard on piano and keyboards with Donny Melin on bass and Lynn “egg man” Kingsley on percussion. As well featuring Jessica Willis on violin, Paul Nelson on cello, Pattie Cossention on saxophone and flute, and Jair Willis on pipes, whistles and uillean pipe.
