My Father’s Place: Live in New York 1976

Description

My Father’s Place: Live in New York 1976 is a live album by The Richie Furay Band recorded in August 1976 and released on All Access Records in January 2016, a sub-label of Above All Records.

With his trademark smooth tenor vocals and no-nonsense guitar, Richie Furay and his band – Tom Stipe of Country Faith and Wing & A Prayer fame on keyboards, Virgil Beckham on guitar, and a rhythm section consisting of Jay Truax on bass and John Mehler on drums (a.k.a. the rhythm section of Love Song) with Alex McDougall of The Way and Daniel Amos fame on percussion – played the My Father’s Place venue in New York in late August 1976. Proceedings were broadcast live by local radio, and the entire show can now be heard for the first time on this CD.
