Heaven’s Mentality

Description

Heaven’s Mentality is the debut album by the American hip-hop group The Cross Movement, released on Cross Movement Records in April 1997, manufactured and distributed by CMN Distributor. Mixed by The Cross Movement. Arranged/edited by Earthquake.

The Cross Movement is The Ambassador, True Life, The Phanatik, Enoch, Cruz Cordero, Prodigy, and The Gift.

Although The Cross Movement hit the Cross Rhythms radio playlists some time ago, we have been tardy in reviewing their debut. So here to make amends, if you haven’t yet checked out this anointed, creative and excellent hip hop crew, you’ve really been missing out on something. They first came to prominence with this release which showed seven rappers establishing themselves with tight rhymes and tracks that interact their different styles into a whole that really impacts. The title cut was the highlight of the set and although the album never received anything other than import status here in the UK, it still deserves investigating.
