Himalayas is an album by the American singer and songwriter Scott Mulvahill, Kickstarter-funded and independently released on West Sterling Music in September 2018, under exclusive license to Soundly Music.

Occasionally an artist finds a unique niche to occupy all by his lonesome. Such is the case with string bass player/singer/songwriter Scott Mulvahill. His soulful vocals and well-crafted compositions would be enough all by themselves, but when he can carry track after track with no instrumentation but himself and his bass, you know you’re onto something special. Four tracks from last year’s EP join eight new tracks in the same vein to comprise three-quarters of an hour of compelling listening. «The Lord Is Coming» is a chilling apocalyptic selection. «Indefensible» narrates a temptation narrowly rejected. “There must have been part of me that welcomed the dark approaching,” he recalls ruefully. «20/20 Vision» is the bluesiest Gene Autry cover you’re likely to hear. A cover of «Homeless», a Zulu wedding song introduced to the world on Paul Simon’s famed ‘Graceland’ album, appears as well, with guest vocals from Alanna Boudreau.
