A Myx’d Trip to a Gospel House 2 is a gospel-oriented techno project by the American DJ, audio engineer, and Electronic Dance Music producer Scott Blackwell, released on Myx Records in 1993, a division of the Frontline Music Group, distribution by Diamante Distribution. The album was produced, recorded, and mixed by Scott Blackwell for N’Soul Productions at N’Soul Recording in West Hills, California. It is a follow-up to A Myx’d Trip to a Gospel House, released by Myx Records the previous year.

Featuring vocals by Allegra Parks, Derrick Hammond, Gayl and Angie, Sandra Stephens, The Cox Sisters, and Toni Massey. The classic contemporary gospel tunes “Soon And Very Soon” (written by Andraé Crouch) and “Oh Happy Day” (written by Edwin Hawkins) are fairly radically remixed with a house attack.

The brand new ‘Gospel House 2’ is a better album than the first volume and the Myx’d Christmas Project. It’s more varied than its predecessor and features versions of standards such as «Oh Happy Day» and «Soon And Very Soon» as well as the more recent classic «Call Him Up» and several of the team’s own compositions. Of these, «Free Indeed» is a superb blast of hardcore with John 8v36 plastered all over it. It’s an album that deserves a wide audience and really should find its way into the collection of everyone who is serious about providing for worship in the 90s.
