Description
Dangerous People is the seventh album by the British singer, songwriter, and worship leader Noel Richards, released on Kingsway Music in 1996.
At last! My Noel-less collection receives its comeuppance. And justly so, for this album is exactly what one would expect from a man with Wembley-sized ambitions. (I resist the temptation to award him 10 squares just for booking the stadium!) Collectively, the songs encourage us to blend a more intimate relationship with God with a desire to proclaim the gospel to all nations. This way, Noel reasons, we will truly become a ‘Dangerous People’ – “worshippers making a difference in the world.” I believe this is how God would have us be (Eph 5vl9, II Tim 4vvl-2 for Scriptural backing!). Lyrics and music are both outstanding: “Blood of the martyrs/ Has made your Church strong/…For you we live and for you we may die.” These songs have ‘challenging and inspirational’ stamped all across them. Play at dangerous volumes for best effect! [Joel Lewis, Cross Rhythms, December 1996]
