It’s Time is an album by the American gospel group the Mighty Clouds of Joy, released on ABC Dunhill in 1974. The album was recorded by Jay Mark at Sigma Sound Studio in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; with Dave Crawford producing. Mixed by Joe Tarsia. Arranged by Wade Marcus.

In 1974 The Mighty Clouds of Joy, one of gospel music’s most legendary quartets, decided “It’s Time” to record a soul project. The resulting album, presented here for the first time ever on CD, is considered one of the best to ever come out of Philadelphia and perhaps the greatest Gospel/Soul crossover album ever released. Cut at the great Sigma Sound Studios with Dave Crawford writing and producing, Wade Marcus arrangements and top notch Philly studio musicians such as Norman Harris, Bobby Eli, Vince Montana, Ronnie Baker and Earl Young. The Mighty Clouds Of Joy performing “Time” on Don Cornelius’ Soul Train as the second gospel group to perform on this hit television dance/music show. (The Staple Singers performed on Soul Train in October 1971 as the show’s first gospel act.)
