It’s a Wonderful Christmas is the third Christmas album by the American singer, songwriter, and keyboardist Michael W. Smith, released on Reunion Records in October 2007, distributed by Provident-Integrity Distribution and Sony BMG Music Entertainment. The album features four choirs and a 65-piece orchestra, The London Session Orchestra, recorded at Abbey Road Studios, London, England. It’s a Wonderful Christmas was produced by Michael W. Smith and David Hamilton.
About half the album is instrumental pieces, including “What Child is This,” “Audrey’s Gift,” and “It’s a Wonderful Christmas”. “Christmas Day” features vocals by Mandisa. In 2008, the album won a Dove Award for Christmas Album of the Year at the 39th GMA Dove Awards.
