Description
Unveiled Hope is a studio album by the American singer and songwriter Michael Card, released by Covenant Artists in 1997, manufactured and distributed by Myrrh Records, a division of Word Entertainment. The album was produced by Phil Naish. The London Session Orchestra is featured on many tracks. Michael Card explores the overwhelming message of hope found in The Book of Revelation.
Michael’s Covenant Artists label may be new but his sound, that subtle mix of plaintive acoustic singer/songwriter, classical orchestrations and inspirational lyrics rooted firmly in the Word, remains the same. This, the latest of his series of Bible explorations, takes the book of Revelation as its inspiration and there are many fine moments as he takes us through those apocalyptic End Time visions. There are two outstanding tracks, «To The Overcomers» with a delightful melodic lilt, and «Salvation» which really does come up with a surprise in that it features a black gospel choir (Veritas) doing backups. It works as well! Michael remains one of the most consistent and biblical crafters of song and this album maintains his own high standards. [Tony Cummings, Cross Rhythms, June 1997]
