Description
Love is the Bottom Line is an album by the American singer and songwriter Lisa Daggs, released on Cheyenne Records in 1995, distributed by Landmark Group. The album was produced by John and Dino Elefante for Pakaderm Productions.
With the early 1994 debut release of ‘Angel in Your Eyes‘ on Pakaderm, Lisa Daggs established herself as a new country voice with a lot of promise. With the 1995 release of ‘Love is the Bottom Line’, her first project for Cheyenne, Lisa Diggs delivers the message that she is a force to be reckoned with for years to come. Her first single from this project, Be Like Noah, reached number one on three differnt Christian country charts, and recently, she was named New Artist of the Year by the Christian Country Music Association.
Masterfully mixed and engineered by Steve Marcantonio, Lisa Diggs receives top notch support from some of country music’s finest musicians, featuring the sweet steel guitar work of Bruce Bouton and the magic keys and piano of Mitch Humphries. Musically, this release covers everything from honky-tonk to Eagles-influenced soft country to hard-driving, country rhythm and blues. Lyrically, this project is impeccable, with words agreeably resonating to the ears and the heart. But it is the voice of Lisa Daggs that flies this project home. Hers is a voice that carries the strength and power of country music’s Wynnona, while offering the straight-up simplicity of Alison Krauss. [Randy Moomaw, CCM, March 1996]
