The Action Figure is the sophomore album by the American hip-hop artist Knowdaverbs (a.k.a. Michael Boyer II, later known simply as Verbs), released on Gotee Records ‎in 2000. The album was recorded by Otto Price and Ric Robbins at Juggernaut Sound Labs in Nashville, Tennessee; and at Blackdog Productions in Nashville, Tennessee; with Incorporated Elements producing. Additional production by Knowdaverbs, O-Dog (track 3), and Teron Carter (tracks 4 and 5). Mixed by F. Reid Shippen. Edited and squenced by Randy LeRoy.

Knowdaverbs offers us a solo album with an overall phat East Coast driven, sample rich feel. However, solo’s a bit of a misleading description as it stars a host of others, such as Surge playing a slippy bass, DJ Maj on cuts, GRITS, etc. Although there are a few weak tracks, a close listen is well worthwhile if you like the unusual (check out «Zombies»). Top tracks include «Phullon Empty» with slick salsa cuts and «Just The Facts Ma’am» featuring dynamic reggae beats and even some steel drums plus the ethereal «How Excellent».
