I Know What Prayer Can Do is an album by the American contemporary gospel singer and songwriter Jessy Dixon, released on I Am Records in 1989, manufactured and distributed by A&M Records. The album was produced by Jessy Dixon for Rhema Productions. Recorded live at Saturday Night Sing (which was produced by Brian Roland) and engineered by Tim Powell at Metro Mobile. Mixed by Jessy Dixon and Curbe Mhoon.

The Artist
Most well-known for his live performances, Jessy’s musical impact has been felt by millions across the globe… while touring with Paul Simon, DeGarmo & Key, and with his own group.

Jessy Dixon has done what few artists have been able to accomplish. While performing gospel music, and nothing else, he has endeared both gospel and pop music audiences.

Jessy began his illustrious career while playing organ in church in his hometown Chicago. He has received three gold albums, three Dove Awards, and several Grammy nominations. Jessy is presently hosting a nationally syndicated Christian TV program, “Celebrate With Jessy Dixon”.

The Album
Jessy’s new album entitled, “I Know What Prayer Can Do”, was recorded live and filmed on video. Featured on this new album are other gospel notables, including Calvin Bridges, Ethel Holloway, Darius Brooks (leader of the Thompson Community Choir), and Adrian Lennox of the world famous Lennox Family.

Jessy states, “Right now I feel more positive about my career than ever before. I have the opportunity now to not only expose my ministry to a greater marketplace, but through my efforts, other great new talents can be brought to the forefront via Rhema Productions, my new company”.
