Why Should the Heart Not Dance?

Description

Why Should the Heart Not Dance? is the eleventh album by the American singer, songwriter, keyboardist, and producer Jeff Johnson with Sandy Simpson and Kathy McClatchey, independently released on his own label Ark Records in 1988, distributed by Sparrow/Star Song Distribution. The album was recorded and mixed digitally by Jeff Johnson assisted by Sandy Simpson at The Ark in Camano Island, Washington; between the Spring of 1986 to the Winter of 1987. Music by Jeff Johnson except “Mercy In The Morning” and “The Dance Of Dusk” by Sandy Simpson. An eclectic mix of contemporary instrumentals that was the sequel to No Shadow of Turning.

Fresh, healing and satisfying, this CD has a way of rejuvenating even with casual listening… Johnson allows his melodies to seductively move the listener carrying us into a land of subtlety and nuance. [Brian Quincy Newcomb, Harvest Rock Syndicate, Fall 1988]
