Description
Supersonic Dream Day is the sophomore solo album by the American singer, songwriter, and producer iAN (a.k.a. Ian Eskelin) of Code of Ethics and ZERO fame, released on Reunion Records in 1994, distributed by Word Distribution and BMG Distribution. The album was recorded and mixed by Dave Sears at The Carport in Nashville, Tennessee; with iAN producing.
Featuring vocals and keyboards by iAN with Tabitha Fair providing backing vocals. Programmed by Sears and iAN.
You read about Mr Eskelin in the last CR. Mainly this CD fits into the pop category but a few of the tracks fit more easily into the dance category. The more I listened to this CD the better it sounds. The music is catchy and I find myself singing along. This CD can be played for quiet listening at home or on a DJ’s system with the hyper bass on! The faster tracks («Let It Take You», «To Be Free», «Supersonic Dream Day», «Start Moving» and «Everybody») sound better than the slower tracks. In these tracks the vocals are stronger and there is more use of instruments other than the keyboard. In a few of the tracks the lyrics are a little forced, especially in «Get Live, Get Loud» which is difficult to understand. This is a CD which I suspect I will be playing a lot. My favourite track is «To Be Free». [James Clewer, Cross Rhythms, June 1995]
