Description
Brand New Language is a solo debut album by the American singer, songwriter, and producer Ian Eskelin of Code of Ethics and ZERO fame, released on WAL (Word Associated Labels) in 1993, a division of Word. The album was produced and recorded by Caesar Kalinowski at The Sonic Temple in Elgin, Illinois. Mixed by Dave Sears at The Sonic Temple. Digital editing by Ian Eskelin and Martin Baumgaertner at Angle Park Productions in Wheaton, Illinois.
Eskelin made his mark with two of Christian music’s best dance outfits, Code of Ethics and ZERO; the artist also had a terrific cut on Wonderland’s ‘Motion Factory‘ compilation. That tune, «Destination Love», is included on this spirited solo album, along with nine other Euro-flavored dance/pop tracks. As with most good dance music composers, Eskelin is also a subversive lyricist. Just when you’re engrossed in the sly beats and crafty arrangements, Eskelin sneaks a line through like “He’s gonna tame your heart in time to change your mind” or “Hide your pride to get it back in his sight to cope/ You gotta get off the tightrope.” Watch for an Eskelin clip soon in your local video outlet, and be sure to bug your Christian radio stations to play more tunes by Ian and other dance-oriented artists – as in “Praise the Lord with…” (Psalm 150)!
