Description
Cross My Heart is the solo debut album by the American singer and songwriter Greg Long of Avalon fame, released by Pakaderm in co-operation with Myrrh Records in 1994, a division of Word. The album was produced by John and Dino Elefante.
This may be Greg Long’s first solo project but his song writing talent may already be known to you, he co-wrote a track on Pam Thum’s debut album («I’ve Never Known Love»). On the first listen, the excellent production (by John and Dino Elefante) shines through along with the slightly Chris de Burgh-tinged vocals. It takes several auditions before you encounter the WOW factor, the kind that makes you go and hug the speakers!! There are excellent songs on the album full of encouraging words to go on in the Christian walk, one of which («How Long»), a duet with Margaret Becker, has already proved itself in the US Christian charts. Pam Thum also helps with the song writing on «Hope In The Night». So, an album well worth checking out but be prepared to listen a few times to appreciate this man’s talents.
