He’s Right On Time: Live from Los Angeles is a live album by the American singer, songwriter, and producer Daryl Coley, released on Sparrow Records in 1990. The album was produced by Bill Maxwell with Daryl Coley co-producing.

Daryl Coley is hot right now with the contemporary black gospel crowd, and on this showing one can see why. No expense has been spared on this lavish live show – the man comes accompanied by a 13 piece band, backing singers and a 40 strong choir! He has an impressive voice (although is it heresy to say that his pitching sounds a little shaky at times?) shown off to best effect on a ballad like «Thy Will Be Done», when he pulls off the kind of superhuman vocal feats expected of a gospel star out under the lights. He can rock as well, and «I Can’t Tell It All» is one of the hardest, funkiest gospel cuts I’ve heard this year. It’s tough, it’s slick, the brass blares and the backing singers kick. After that the crowd is hysterical, and Coley goes into an improvised “shout” eventually asking “can we have church for a minute?” – cue for the band to go into one of those incredibly fast gospel jams that would teach your average speed-metal band a thing or two (as usual the black church had it first.) All in all a fine live offering that matches a contemporary cutting edge to traditional gospel abandon. [James Attlee, Cross Rhythms, June 1991]
