Description
The self-titled debut album by the American techno artist cloud2ground (Jeremy Dawson) was released on M&M Records in 1996. All tracks written, produced, and mixed by Jeremy Dawson (with additional production on track 7 by S.S.D.J. Russ).
Strictly underground. If you’d wandered into the Cornerstone Festival dance tent in Chicago this summer you’d have been able to pick up a copy of this. And if you were looking for an album of underground ambient stuff a la Virus you’d be pretty excited with this CD. Now Cross Rhythms herewith points you to Oklahoma (the place not the musical) and suggests you write to Jeremy Dawson (he who is Cloud2Ground), tell him Cummings was intrigued by his digital musings (I particularly liked «Vocoder» while the 14 minute plus mix of «F5» is growing on me) and ask him what will it cost for Jeremy to send you a copy. “All music is created under the influence of Jesus Christ” runs the note on the sleeve. Amen. [Tony Cummings, Cross Rhythms, October 1997]
