Minstrel of the Lord is an album by the American singer and songwriter Buddy Greene, released on Fortress Records in 1995. The album was recorded by Brent King at Quad Studio, John Darnall at Chamelon Sound, and Bil VornDick, with Jerry Douglas and Buddy Greene producing. Mixed by King, Darnall, and VornDick. All songs written by Buddy Greene except “I’m Crying Again”, a song written by Mark Heard and originally recorded on his album Stop the Dominoes released in 1981.

Buddy Greene amidst a stellar cast of Nashville’s most renowned acoustic players for a totally unplugged experience. Featuring Buddy Greene on lead vocals, harmonica and acoustic guitar, backed by musicians such as Don Potter on acoustic guitar, Jerry Douglas on dobro, Alan O’Bryant on banjo, Ricky Simpkins on mandolin and fiddle, John Mock on low whistle, Phil Madeira on Hammond B-3 organ, Craig Nelson and Danny O’Lannerghty on upright bass, and Kenny Malone on drums and percussion. Background vocals provided by Ashley Cleveland, Julie Miller, and Kelly Willard, among others.
