Description
Looking Forward is the debut album by the American gospel singer and songwriter Bob Bailey, released on Good Life Records in 1980, a division of Good Life Productions. Re-issued by Triangle Records the following year (featuring new cover artwork), distributed by The Benson Company. The album was recorded and mixed by Paul Stilwell and Toby Foster at Devonshire Studios in North Hollywood, California; with Stilwell producing. Includes covers of Seawind’s “The Devil Is A Liar” and the Laurie Klein classic “I Love You, Lord”, among others.
Featuring session musicians like keyboardists David Diggs and Clark Gassman, guitarists Grant Geissman, George Doering, and Paul Jackson Jr., as well as a rhythm section consisting of Leon Gaer on bass and Ed Greene on drums (replaced by bassist Ken Wild of Seawind fame and drummer Paul Leim on a few tracks), with Fred Petry providing percussion. “I’m Looking Forward” features vocals by Reba Rambo.
