It Remains the Same is the third album by the American alternative rock band Black Carnation, released on Blonde Vinyl Records in 1992, distributed by Spectra Distribution. The album was recorded by Tom Jansen at Station C Studios in Grand Rapids, Michigan; with Brad Wildey and the band producing. Mixed by Wildey and Jansen at Station C Studios. All songs written by Jeff Seaver except track 3 co-written with Kelli Woods.

Black Carnation is Jeff Seaver on guitar and vocals, Kendall Thomas on bass, and Craig Hoeve on drums.
