Rule in my Heart

Rule in my Heart is the solo debut album by the American singer and songwriter Beth Croft, released on Integrity Music in July 2014. The album was produced by Willie Weeks and Rob Moles.

Beth has, of course, been long featured as a worship leader at Soul Survivor but this is her first solo album. A number of the songs are collaborations with seasoned worship songsmiths such as Tim Hughes on «Say The Word» and the title track co-written with Matt Redman, and others. Highlights include the pacey «Love Takes Over», a hymn-like cover of the Rend Collective’s «Boldly I Approach» (‘The Art Of Celebration’) and the ballads «Purify» and «Hold On» which captivate and draw you in to their emotion. One pleasant surprise is the catchy «Make The World Dance» which is a song which will undoubtedly catch on as a festival favourite with its infectious hook and moving lyrics. The final track «Lectio Divina» (meaning Divine Reading) uses a simple electronic beat and voice changer software to present an innovative approach to worship though it doesn’t quite fit with the rest of the album.
