The Language I Think In is an album by the American techno artist Audity (DJ Mindub, a.k.a. Tim Hiber), released on N*Soul Music in 2000, distributed in the CBA by Diamante Music Group. Also distributed by Navarre Corporation. All songs written and produced by Audity except vocal tracks featuring music by Audity with lyrics/melody by Lindy M. Gerlach. Engineered and mixed by 2064 at Nasal Studios in Lakeland, Florida; and at Studio 101 in Nashville, Tennessee. Continuously mixed and edited by Mindub at Wonderwall Studios in Columbia, Tennessee. Assistant engineering by DJ Alejandro and Alaca.

I loved the ambient swirls and gentle percussion beat of the tracks and weird vocals, recorded with a hint of feedback. This female Stephen Hawking type voice acts as a guide leading us through a journey of emotion, faith and ideas. The haunting poetic lyrics of some of the tracks speak of the paradox of the ‘upside down heart’ of the brokenness that characterises Christian attitudes, the cycle of life and loving, the regret of following a wandering mind that has eclipsed God’s dream and the feeling of being safe in God’s love. Beside these lyrics there’s some great creative sounds on this album and some wonderful instrumental dance tracks. Excellent. [Dancin’ Dave Derbyshire, Cross Rhythms, May 2001]
