Poetic Justice is a double disc compilation album by the American singer and songwriter Mo Leverett, independently released on Justice Road Productions in 2003. Recorded live; mostly in a cabin up on the north shore of Lake Ponchartrain. Also includes live concerts cuts (with song intros) and five new songs. Engineered and produced by Greg Doles with Dustin Doles as 2nd engineer. Mixed by Ronny Cates at Rec Room Recording Studio in Gainesville, Florida. All songs written by Mo Leverett.

If you are a fan of this New Orleans songsmith then you’re likely to have these songs on other albums. But this is still worth investigating as on this 2 CD collection are five bonus songs – though according to sources they were recorded in a “cabin up on the north shore of Lake Ponchartrain.” On CD 1 we are given songs from the earlier years, ie, “Sacred Desires” (1995) and “Tender Mercies” (1996) while on CD 2 what we get are songs from the later years, ie, “If You Know What I Mean” (1998) and “Sacrament Of Life” (2002). Furthermore included in the liner notes is an interview with Mo himself. All in all a well produced set which captures the heart and humour of this very talented and often challenging singer/songwriter. [John Fisher, Cross Rhythms, June 2007]
