Knowledge is the Tree of Life is the debut album by the American hip-hop group 12th Tribe (the California duo of Dave Portillo and Eddie Sierra), released on Frontline Records in 1991. The album was produced, recorded, mixed, and programmed by Scott Blackwell at N•Soul Studios with additional production by 12th Tribe.
