Lady is the fifth album by the American singer and songwriter Reba Rambo, released on Greentree Records in 1977. The album was recorded by Bob Clark and Brent Maher at Creative Workshop and Sound Stage Studios in Nashville, Tennessee; with Phil Johnson producing. Mixed by Clark at Great Circle Sound in Nashville. All songs written by Reba Rambo Gardner except “Wonderful” co-written with David Huntsinger and “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”, the Arlen/Harburg classic.
The album won a Dove in the Contemporary Album of the Year category at the Gospel Music Association’s 9th Dove Awards, 1977. The album was as well nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Gospel Performance, Contemporary or Inspirational. Record World called Rambo “one of the most important female contemporary Christian artists in the field today” in a 1977 feature, and Lady established Reba as the premier “adult contemporary singer” in Christian music.
