Description
Super Pickin’ is a country/bluegrass inspired gospel album by the American banjo player Little Roy Lewis of the legendary Lewis Family, released on Canaan Records in May 1981, a Southern Gospel subsidiary for Word. The album was recorded by Bill Vandevort at Music City Music Hall in Nashville, Tennessee; and was produced by Little Roy Lewis, with Little Roy Lewis co-producing.
Featuring Little Roy Lewis on banjo, guitar, and autoharp, backed by a session band consisting of Hargus Robbins on keyboards; Wallace Lewis on guitar; Bobby Osborne on mandolin; Buddy Spicher on mandolin, fiddle, and viola; Bob Moore and Travis Lewis on bass; and Buddy Harman on drums. Vocals provided by Carol Lee Cooper, Dennis McCall, Herman Harper, and Norah Lee Allen, as well as The Carol Lee Singers.
